Aspiring Youth -Cross Country/Field events

Parafed Bay of Plenty Youth Development Programme - Aspiring Youth, will have their second session - meeingt at Tauranga Domain, 10am, 24 May, to learn skills for cross country and athletics field events.

They will have assistance from Jack McSweeney, the Bays up and coming Para cyclist. Jack spent several years with Athletics NZ working in schools and is especially good with adapting techniques for physically disabled athletes.

Cherryl, Sport Development and Alexia, Parent Youth Advocate, will also work with schools to to adapt their school and cluster cross country events to include  disabled athletes. BIG SHOUT OUT to Aaron Joe and North Cluster and all the TIC of Sport at North Cluster schools who have come on board to make this the first WBOP inclusive event on the calendar!! WE can DO it TOGETHER!
